CHESHIRE PARC COMPLIANCE
Following certain neighborhood guidelines helps ensure we are being respectful of our neighbors and keeps our community looking and feeling like a place we all want to live. The Board has hired our management company to check on our progress monthly and alert any homeowners who may have something amiss on their property. Here are some of the most common things to be mindful of.
PARKING
Make sure you are parking in your driveway or garage. Refrain from parking in the street for extended periods of time and never block a mailbox. Parking in the street is allowed for occasional gatherings, for no more than 4 hours. The street shouldn't be used as a personal parking lot. Also, be mindful that emergency vehicles, mail trucks, and contractors must be able to pass.
DUMPING/LITTERING
Dispose of your waste in the proper manner. Dumping and littering are not allowed for any reason, including putting things in storm drains, retention ponds, streets, Common Areas, etc.
EXTERIOR CHANGES
All exterior changes require ARC approval. Some examples include putting up a new fence, painting the exterior of your home, replacing the gutters, replacing the roof, screening in the patio, adding a free-standing structure to the backyard, etc. Basic guidelines are in place to keep the neighborhood cohesive in design.
GARBAGE CONTAINMENT
Be sure to place all garbage inside your garbage bin. Refrain from leaving garbage piled at the street or in your yard. All garbage should be stored in cans until it is removed from the property.
GARBAGE BIN PLACEMENT
Check to make sure you are storing your garbage bins in an inconspicuous place in your back or side yard. For townhomes without a side yard, it should be stored near the home at the back of the driveway. Refrain from leaving your bins at the street for extended periods of time. As a courtesy, garbage bins may be placed at the street the day prior to our pickup day.
YARD MAINTENANCE
Mowing, weeding, and pruning are part of the maintenance needed to keep your yard looking its best. Be sure to stay on top of things like trimming bushes and trees, edging, removing or replacing dead plants, refreshing mulch/pine straw in flower beds, and sodding bare spots as needed.
EXTERIOR MAINTENANCE
Check the exterior of your home from time to time to make sure it is aesthetically appealing and clean. Washing, painting, and planting are all things that should be done as needed to maximize the home’s curb appeal.
EQUIPMENT STORAGE
Free-standing basketball goals, bicycles, grills, and other equipment should be stored out of sight, when not in use.
